The area surrounding our Samos Holiday homes is characterised by the village of Ampelos that lies on a sleep mountain peak slope offering a breathtaking view over the sea and countryside. The narrow streets and picturesque houses turn even short strolls into an experience. The clocks can seem to stand still over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. A small supermarket provides everything needed to prepare a Greek evening meal. Happily, there are no newly constructed holiday homes in Ampelos that would spoil the picturesque village atmosphere of Samos. A hidden-away walking trail starts out from Ampelos to the two waterfalls. A short car journey away is the seaside resort of Agios Konstantinos that, just like Ampelos, is highly valued by holidaymakers who organise their individual trips and walkers. Fresh fish can be enjoyed prepared in the Greek way with plentiful olive oil in one of the many restaurants directly in the harbour.Local area
